== Before then? == This was the 'Elm Tree' pub during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. For a couple of years from about 2010 - 2012, it was 'Lan Kwai Kong', a Chinese restaurant. The 'Big Society' opened in about 2013.  Joe Ryan, an Oxford landlord well known for encouraging Irish folk music, ran this pub in the 1990s after moving from the Bullingdon (No 162) and before moving to the Half Moon in St Clements
