The Alamir Store Middle Eastern deli has been going strong at this address for around 8 years. Its window displays are always crammed with trays of Baklava and other treats, with wooden crates of fruit and veg outside.
Upstairs it retains the original, delicate sash windows which used to be visible next door at 76 before replacement with double glazing.

Kelly's Directory 1976 No 78 W S Cooke, antique furniture dealer. Their sign is still on the side of the building facing Temple Street. An upholstery service carried on here until recently, maybe still does.
