2015 - present

The Coral off-track betting shop is at 270-272 Cowley Road. Planning permission to change the property to a betting shop was approved in March 2015.[1]

The corporate facade contrasts strongly with the murals on the upper floor which have become emblematic of Cowley Road. Fortunately, unlike other buildings in the same row, these murals have not yet been painted over.

 ?1971 - 2014

Windrush Insurance Brokers, established 1971, used to be located here before the business moved to Kidlington in around ?2009. The last set of accounts with 272 Cowley Road listed as their head office was 30th June 2014.[2] An image of Windrush can be seen here

Early 20th Century

This building is on the site of the eastern terminus and stabling of the horse-drawn tram, which used to run into the city centre. The tram is commemorated in the mural on the eastern wall.
