This was the Pickled Walnut Syrian Restaurant, now closed, owned by Ahmad Mohamad who also owned Beetroot cafe at number 166 and Pomegranate at number 126 Cowley Road [1]. It opened in 2016 after an extensive refurbishment of the former Mirch Masala.

This was the Mirch Masala Indian restaurant. Thomsons Directory 1995 listed it at No 139. From photo below No 137 was Daud groceries in 1995
A photo of 1984 shows the Khyber restaurant in right hand half (No 139) of this frontage.[2]
